Hope that AT&T provides tethering for you guys soon. Rogers/Fido has been this year (no extra fee until Dec 09 – no idea of pricing after that). Great invention. I commute by train and can use the tethering to use my laptops. At the office, I can now use my MacBook Air when I want.

Really replaces a stick or MIFI for me and to date, as no extra cost – clearly the best solution in the Great White North.

I have a 2G iphone and would consider jailbreaking if I upgrade to a 3GS. At 3G speeds it’s worth jailbreaking to get tethering. It would be great to tether while sitting at an open house.

Hi Guys, as of 2010 the http://MMS.ifind2.com is about the only place where everyone I know setup Tethering. It works 100% of the times, but depending on your phone, firmware you have to follow the steps written step by step. I know it works, because all of my friends have tried it with every kind of combination of phones. You do not get charged, well, you are already paying for unlimited data. šŸ™‚
