I almost named this post “Hell Freezes Over” but that wouldn’t be fair. In truth, the Microsoft Mac Office team is as big a bunch of Apple nerds as there are. It is impressive that they can get Office, which is legendary for its refusal to follow Apple programming protocols to take advantage of all the Lion goodness in just a few months. Nice work Office for Mac team.
This will make me a bit unpopular I think but I must say that Office for Mac is really very good! I have to use MS for work and I really do think that Office for Mac is much better than it is for Windows. The addition of versions/ autosave will make it even better. Well done MS

Impressive? Didn't they already have months to do this, just like every other developer?
David, I personally think it's pathetic for such a big company not to be up to date with Lion features earlier. Like that cannot afford $99 for the dev program and don't even start me on Adobe!!!

I must say I was surprised they were not ready for day one. I am glad that they are working on it though as I do have to use office for mac for some of my work stuff and I agree that they made a nice job of the last update.
